How we Help
HELP FOOD PACKAGES
Families registered with NPOS receive a Food Package once a month and can for extra meals throughout the month, if needed. The individuals NPOS assists are most often elderly, disabled (both mentally and physically), unskilled (who do not work) or families who receive less than R3000 per month as income. These families live in very harsh conditions and need a caring heart. Extra donations received, for example vegetables or milk are distributed to families when available.
ASSISTING THE HOMELESS
Wanderers can drop in for sandwiches from Tuesday to Thursday. These individuals also receive clean clothes, shoes and warm blankets where needed. They sign for the receipt of any items, which are strictly controlled.
BIBLE MESSAGES
Two dates are available for families to select when they want to pick up their Food Package. Thus, on two Wednesdays a month, a Bible message is delivered to families receiving their Food Packages. The message is led by Pastor Mornè Lotter of Hope and Life. The services are held at 9am, after which the families receives their Food Packages.
COUNSELING
Counseling is available and is led by Pastor Mornè Lotter.

PROJECTS
Needle work
Every Wednesday we host sewing projects where ladies gather together and develop skills so that they can make and sell items to earn an income. Doing so can give them the experience of becoming self-sufficient.
Once a month, another project will be presented, which the ladies involved with NPOS, must attend where they make a product and showcase their skills.
Children
Preschool children who come to the sewing group with their parents are taught different skills, such as learning how to count, meteoric development, beadwork, art, hand and eye coordination, puzzle building, writing and sound building,. Each child receives a booklet with his or her progress, and receives a treat after the morning's activities.
CHRISMAS
In December a Christmas tree is put up for the children. Each child receives a new gift, as well as school supplies. Candy packets are also given out every year. A meal with soft drinks is received; the family then receives their Christmas Food Packages, where the amount of food received is a little more than usual. They also received items such as cookies, pudding, mixed fruit, and toiletries such as soap, a new toothbrush and face cloth.
